What's going on?

This is what's going on......

Wednesday's show kicked ass, one of our best so far (only 6 shows left till our first year broadcasting anniversary). We had;

The usual array of 1st rate breaks, beats and rhymes and some soundtrack nuggets from Roy Budd and friend of the show Mr Lalo Schifrin.

Mel (Head of The Bottomless Crates Meteorology Division) updated us on meeting Rio Ferdinand (England football captain) at Legoland.

A live call in from Dweller to accept the retiring Winner-Stays-On championship on behalf of Rick Mal (not to mention his own work on the tracks Rick flowed over) and also to introduce Organix which is now going to be a regular feature on the show (we're very happy to promote this - top, top tunes with a platform for unsigned artists to rip the mic).

With Rick Mal retiring undefeated, the Winner-Stays-On battle got two new artists in the shape of Foul Mouth & Acid Reign representing NY state versus Baron Von Alias & MistaBreeze representing Newcastle - 2 awesome tracks went head to head and voting kicked off with early heavy support to the US (including Lexi from North Carolina who called the studio within 5 mins of the votes opening - dedication!). Voting remains open till midnight Saturday - so do your bit by hitting the facebook group and posting on our wall or, if you ain't on facebook, either email us or put something up on the website chat box...

Anyway, looks like next week is going to be massive.... So, to wrap up the first show for June... here's the links you'll need;

Still alive

Apologies for the whole not posting for nearly a month now thing. An update is pending with links for the last few shows.... Just a few more days while we get stuff organised.

Back in the room

Sorry about the recent vanishing act, just been plain old busy and what not.... Here's the last couple of shows from the 5th and 12th of April. There was no show on March 29th due to illness.

The 050410 show had a few sound issues but all was well (as well as ever anyway..) by the next show on the 12th....

Far, far too many tunes to mention so I'll not even bother trying, suffice to say it's the usual formula of beats, breaks and buffoonery including a few brand new, quality hip hop tracks . Personnel wise, Super Duper YTS Reviewer Joelly-D is currently AWOL which, after a promising initial 2 weeks of shall we say unique mp3 reviews is a touch bothersome. He will of course be permitted to continue on his placement assuming he has a reasonable excuse.

Also, if you haven't already, have a gander at the slowly taking shape thebottomlesscrates.com where you now find a chatbox that is open to abuse and generally only attended in show time, a listen live link and a pair of flash decks you can mess around with... None of this is the finished article mind so don't be tutting and rolling your eyes at us. Kudos to the good doctor for putting the hours in at the HTML grindstone...

Btw, the photos are of the Eureka Tower Car Park in Melbourne, there is a new Sociopath track on the first show and they're Australian so there's a very tenuous link which sort of excuses me using them.
